About the Make-up that Zed uses
I use a variety of different makeup brands and huge variety of products in order to create and customize an exceptional look that is particular for the lady or bride on which I am applying the make-up for.
In my wedding make-up kit and for my events make-up all products are dense with fine structure, high quality, fully pigmented. All eyeshadows and powders are mineral based and i have a huge amount of tones perfect for brides makeup or for evening or other daytime events.
Both full and lesser coverage foundations are high definition suitable for photo finish and I have hundreds of sizes and volumes of different individual lashes to create that extra special and individual classic beauty
Well known brands I use include Chanel, Dior, Laura mercier, Sally Hersherson, Elf, Mac, WnW beauty benefits and other pro-brands that I have tested. I do not offer airbrush make-up & I have never needed to, as it can be uncomfortable to have on and can feel less stable and look less dynamic and blended than hand and brush applied.
I test my make-up personally for lasting power, non-shine, non-crease, tonal day keep, and low sensitivity before it ever reachs a bride or client, this way both the client and myself have complete peace of mind.
About the Hair Products and tools that Zed uses
I use a variety of products everything from mousse, to setting lotion to professional hairspray and glossers, what i use depends on what I need to use to get the hair to hold. I do not favour over-laquered looks and so i use the minimal needed to set the hair and hold the look in place day and eve.
I have a wide range of tools with different heat temperatures for wet and dry setting and tonging dependent on how resistant the hair is. If you know you or another client have hair that always drops or never stays in/holds the curl do tell me so i can use the best method to control the hair from the beginning.
Will the hairstyle stay in all day and evening?
Yes! absolutely, to the extent that in my early career I had a bride who liked her hair so much she kept it in for 3 days and on the fourth day took the pins out brushed the set and wore it as waves! Having seen those photos i was quite astonished that after some elegant yet serious partying and a few nights sleeping on her head the hair has lasted extremely well indeed!
Regardless of if you have fine hair or heavy weighted corse hair the style will stay up and i always check with the client that you too feel secure when the style is being finished.
Can you cope with as many people for Hair and Make-up as I would like to book for?
Yes,I employ a number of special techniques in my styling to create amazing styles with speed & I now have a pleasant personal assistant that I book for appointments if I feel it is warranted
*She does the preping of hair and face as instructed by myself- I design and complete and do the hair-up and makeup creations myself as i offer a total service.
Do you offer last minute services?
I always advise booking with advance notice ,however I do my best to accomodate last minute bookings where possible and am happy to be contaced for them at a reasonable hour;
if it is a true emergency or after 9pm at night then call me and send a text headed 'EXPERT ZED SOS' with details and i will call you back as soon as I possibly can.
- Minimum spend per booking is £120.00
- Deposit for a bridal trial is the full cost plus travel cost if needed & is non-refundable, the rest of the payment to be paid in cash on the day or pre-by bank transfer
- Deposit for a bride and or bridal party for on the day services will be charged at 50% of the total within one week of the trial or if no trial then within 1 week of booking,, the remainder of which will be due in cash on the day or by bank transfer cleared funds 1 week before the wedding
- Bridal or other trial dates may be changed within reasonable notice although they may incur an extra travel fee for train tickets re-booked
- For morning weddings that require an extremely early start in-excess of the availablity of travel tickets (example; 5 or 6 am or in some cases 7/8am start required depending on location if it is remote for example) a nights basic accomodation on or near the grounds may be provided for Zed by the client and breakfast/coffee provided. Zed will arrive in the evening in this case.
- Travel costs are incurred from the closest place (London or Scarborough-) to the client's venue as an extra cost and will be invoiced with the total-
- Due to the extreme cost of petrol and bad traffic, travel is usually by train booked prior for economical journeys, if a taxi is needed in countryside a member of the bridal party is welcome to do a pick up and drop off Zed at the station instead of chartering taxis
- Cancellation of bridal party hair and make-up services for a wedding will be charged at a rate of 25% of the total if within 6 weeks or longer of he wedding, 35% if within 5 weeks, and at 50% if 4 weeks or within 4 weeks of the date, however if a genuine bereavment or like-matter has occurred with evidence Zed will use her discretion over the charge. Travel tickets already bought will still be incurred as an extra charge at their total price.-
- For Long distance Journeys in remote places for booking less than £250 an extra time charge maybe be incurred, check at point of booking please
